PlayStation Now’s October 2021 Games Include The Last of Us Part II, Fallout 76, Final Fantasy VIII Remastered, and More

On October 2nd, Sony announced the full list of games that will be available on PlayStation Now in October 2021. The list includes titles such as The Last of Us Part II, Fallout 76, Final Fantasy VIII Remastered, and more.

For the month of October, Sony has announced the games that will be added to its PlayStation Now online gaming subscription service. Part 2 of The Last of Us, a highly praised (but divisive) post-apocalyptic sequel from Naughty Dog, as well as Bethesda Game Studios’ online survival RPG Fallout 76 is a video game developed by Bethesd and Square Enix’s remake of their iconic 1998 RPG Final Fantasy VIII, are among them. Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, October 5, all of these titles will be accessible to play through PlayStation Now.

The Last of Us Part II

Ellie and Joel have settled in Jackson, Wyoming, five years after their perilous trip through the post-pandemic United States. Despite the continuous danger of the infected and other, more desperate survivors, living within a flourishing community of survivors has provided them with serenity and stability.

Fallout 76

In this open-world multiplayer expansion to the Fallout narrative, explore a huge wasteland ravaged by nuclear war. Fallout 76, the newest installment in the Fallout series, is brought to you by Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning developers of Skyrim and Fallout 4. To live, you must either work together or not. You’ll explore a vast, dynamic environment built in the famous Fallout universe while facing nuclear destruction.

Three frightening events in one compilation. You wake up in a lonely castle in Amnesia: The Dark Descent, hardly remembering anything about your history. You must put together your confused memories and discover the evil that lurks underneath its spooky paths as you explore its creepy pathways. In Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs, Oswald Mandus, a rich businessman, wakes up with a fever and nightmares about a dark and terrible machine. He just knows his children are in severe danger and that it is up to him to rescue them. Finally, Amnesia: Justine subjects you to a series of tests devised by a madman’s mind. Will you put your own life on the line to help others?

Desperados III is a sequel to Desperados.

As John Cooper embarks on a journey for atonement, this story-driven, real-time tactical game challenges you to survive the worst the Wild West has to offer. Using your gang’s skills – such as Strongman Hector’s trusty axe, bounty hunter McCoy’s lures, and Kate’s concealed pistol – and your wits, travel through rural villages, across marshes and riverbanks, and ultimately to a spectacular confrontation worthy of Wild West legends.

Remastered version of Final Fantasy VIII

It is a wartime epoch. Under the power of the witch Edea, the Republic of Galbadia mobilizes its vast forces against the rest of the globe. Squall and other members of SeeD, an elite mercenary squad, team up with Rinoa, a resistance fighter, to battle Galbadia’s tyranny and keep Edea from achieving her ultimate objective. Remember that Final Fantasy VIII Remastered is one of five Final Fantasy games that will be available on PlayStation Now in the coming months.

Overkill Edition by Victor Vran

In this isometric action RPG, fight demons with treasure and many weapon types ranging from revolvers to guitars to customize your fighting style and create your own hero. If you don’t want to do it alone, there’s four-player online co-op and two-player local co-op in the game. There are additional areas to explore and battle your way through that are inspired by the famous band Motörhead, with Lemmy and the rest of the band contributing a couple of their songs to the game’s soundtrack.

Another HD Zombie Defense

In this top-down arcade zombie shooter with tactical/strategy aspects, survive undead hordes night after night alone or with up to three pals. Build some defensive barriers, purchase weapons and ammunition, set up turrets, and stay alive as long as you can until the darkness falls. Each night puts your abilities to the test, as the powers of darkness grow stronger with each passing wave. Defense, Endless, and Deathmatch are the three game modes available.

Only PlayStation Now will be able to play The Last of Us Part II until January 3, 2022. A disclaimer from Sony states, “Certain titles featured on PlayStation Now may be made accessible in the library on a limited-time basis only.”
