With Riot’s Arcane gaining traction with fans, I believe it’s a good moment to take a look back at some of the series’ most well-known characters to see where they are in League of Legends.

I’m not talking about their mythology, builds, or victory rates — I’m talking about their skins.

There’s a plenty to pick from with Caitlyn, who has a solid library of skins and a Prestige.

In this list, we’ll take a look at all of her skins, taking into account their features, aesthetics, and costs.

Riot Games is responsible for this image.

Released on May 10th, 2011 with a cost of 975 RP

Caitlyn skins are peculiar in that there is never a happy medium. They’re either too polished, with hundreds of additional particles and sound effects, or they don’t do enough to be dubbed a skin at all.

Safari Caitlyn is obviously in the latter type; the only difference is the character model.

It isn’t the most obnoxious of the group in terms of design. But the fact that it will cost you 975 RP is the last nail in the coffin.

The concept is intriguing, the hues are attractive, and the hat is well-fitting.

However, this is just too little for such a high price.

Sheriff Caitlyn Skin Splash / LoLRiot Games is responsible for this image.

The 4th of January, 2011 was the date of release. The cost is 520 RP.

Okay, I’ll admit that I despise this one.

The concept is ideal for the champion, and it would have easily cracked the top three if it had been up to High Noon’s standards.

However, this interpretation is a little clumsy.

Unless you zoom in entirely and look at Sheriff Caitlyn’s badge, there’s nothing about her that shouts “sheriff.”

I too despise the hat. It appears completely out of place, as if it belongs on a Disney villain rather than a respected sheriff.

9. Caitlyn’s Resilience

Resistance Caitlyn Skin Splash / LoLRiot Games is responsible for this image.

The 4th of January, 2011 was the date of release. The cost is 520 RP.

Resistance I swear Caitlyn is the last god terrible skin on this list.

But there’s a huge disparity between what this skin was aiming for and what you get in the end.

You’re a fierce, powerful guerilla fighter fighting for what you believe in, according to your moniker and splash image.

However, the in-game figure just resembles a female scout who happened to come upon a rifle.

When you zoom in, her outfit doesn’t seem to be all that horrible. However, that seems a little impractical.

Date of Publication: January 27th, 2016 1350 RP is the price.

As a result, this one comes out as a little average all around.

Although there are certain highlights in the character model, such as the fact that your weapons has eyes. However, there are some distracting features, such as whatever is going on with your hair.

It simply doesn’t hit a distinct theme — it seems more like a jumble of thoughts put together.

With the exception of the W, which is quite boring, the ability animations are perfectly OK, with most of them seeming like recolors of the basic particles.

And the unusual background animation is a letdown here, as you lunge towards the air for no apparent reason.

Overall, such a hefty price tag isn’t justified.

Caitlyn’s 7. Arctic Warfare

Arctic Warfare Caitlyn Skin Splash / LoLRiot Games is responsible for this image.

Date of Publication: December 29th, 2011 The cost is 750 RP.

You get precisely what you pay for with Arctic Warfare Caitlyn.

You’ll like the in-game model if you like the splash art. And it’s a shame that this isn’t true for the majority of skins.

But this one is simply Caitlyn and her legendary bullet-firing buddy, snuggled up in some warmer gear.

It doesn’t include any new animations, but given that it takes a realistic approach, it doesn’t really require them.

There’s not much more to say than that; you get what you see.

Caitlyn Arcade, No. 6

Arcade Caitlyn Skin Splash / LoLRiot Games is responsible for this image.

Date of Publication: June 28th, 2019 1350 RP is the price.

So this one could be a little contentious, since I’m aware that this skin has a cult following. However, it isn’t S-class stuff for me.

First, let’s get the nice stuff out of the way:

The music and visual effects are fantastic. The classic arcade beeps and boops always make for a wonderful skin, and the pixelized abilities give a pleasant touch.

In addition, this skin contains one of Caitlyn’s greatest backing animations to date!

The character model, on the other hand, is something I can’t get behind.

This might just be my baby boomer, but Caitlyn seems like a Fortnite gamer. And that’s something I don’t want to see when I’m playing League.

I like the Prestige version somewhat more, but not enough to move the skin up the rankings.

Officer Caitlyn is number five.

Officer Caitlyn Skin Splash / LoLRiot Games is responsible for this image.

The 5th of October, 2011 was the date of release. The price is 975 RP.

Caitlyn fans can’t get enough of Officer Caitlyn, despite the fact that this is yet another character model makeover with no new particles.

You may argue it’s only because her skin makes her seem really sexy and you can finally live out your bad policeman dreams – and that’s OK. However, I believe there is more to it.

To begin with, the rifle seems to be much more dangerous than previously.

That scope seems to be capable of shooting a rabbit on the moon. And the combination of sunglasses and cap suggests that this Caitlyn is up to the challenge.

It’s a little pricey for a skin that doesn’t include any new particles, but I still believe it’s worth it.

4. Caitlyn from Battle Academia

Battle Academia Caitlyn Skin Splash / LoLRiot Games is responsible for this image.

On March 18th, 2021, the film will be released. 1820 RP is the price.

Your enjoyment of this skin will be largely determined by your anime fandom. Because, man, this skin is filthy.

Your emotes have become quite anime-like, with chibi figures and a lot of blushing. Your backing animation has you doing a Satsuki Kiryuin, and your ult includes a cutaway that looks like the nakama power moment from every shounen ever made.

That said, not all new features are created equal.

I couldn’t get into the new voiceover for the life of me. And the emote spam isn’t nearly as entertaining as it is with other skins.

If you’re an anime fan, I believe Battle Academia Caitlyn is worth it, but if you’re looking for something else, check out the rest of this list.

Caitlyn, the headhunter

Headhunter Caitlyn Skin Splash / LoLRiot Games is responsible for this image.

On September 3rd, 2014, the film was released. The price is 975 RP.

I’d say this is the finest Caitlyn skin for the money.

Caitlyn is dressed in black futuristic armor and even has a skull on her hip, which is just awesome.

However, the skin includes new animations and particles. Her rifle, in particular, has little changes for certain skills that make it seem a lot more powerful.

The fact that claw-like bits fly out when you fire your Q, for example, makes it seem much more powerful. As you seek for your next pray, the skin also includes a nice background movement.

All of this for just 975 RP is a fantastic deal – and given the prices of the next skins, I believe Headhunter Caitlyn is the best one to acquire if you’re not a money bag.

2. Caitlyn’s Pool Party

Pool Party Caitlyn Splash / LoLRiot Games is responsible for this image.

Tuesday, August 2nd, 2018 1350 RP is the price.

When it comes to ADC skins, the AA motion and sound cue may either make or ruin the character.

Fortunately for Caitlyn mains who like swimming in pools, this one has it down to a science.

For this skin, everything is water-based. And the auditory cues are so clear that you’ll swear your CSing abilities have been boosted.

Maybe it’s simply the fact that you’re squirting them with a water cannon that makes the pressure a little less intense.

Your talents are no exception, with very well-timed and responsive designs that ensure everything runs smoothly.

Everything here is so smooth that your background animation shows you falling asleep while being fanned by a crab.

They were on to something with this one!

1. Caitlyn from Pulsefire

Pulsefire Caitlyn Skin Splash / LoLRiot Games is responsible for this image.

The 24th of May, 2017 was the date of publication. 1820 RP is the price.

So this is one of those skins that is so wonderful that if you ever got it in a chest, you’d have to keep Caitlyn till your dying.

Pulsefire Caitlyn seems to have it all, and she does it all well.

It’s as fluid and sharp as Pool Party, but with even more exciting features.

When you employ abilities like Headhunter, an overlay for your ult, like Battle Academia, and an actual motorbike for your homeguard animation, like all of my dreams, your gun changes somewhat.

It also includes all-new emotes that are light years ahead of the competition.

Your taunt is essentially a statement that “my is larger than yours.” And if the League community is any indication, it will be utilized regularly.

The dancing holographic emote is also one of my favorites.

I could go on and on about how great this skin is and all of the things it does well, but I believe you get the idea.
